Piet Mondrian Inspired Design

When I decided to list the shoes in the top picture on etsy - I couldn't help but feel that they looked really familiar. After some digging, I remembered why. The shoes bring to mind a 1965 Yves Saint Laurent collection based off of Piet Mondrian's artistic work. When I searched further I found this collection of boxes for the home based off of the same inspiration. These pieces are a prime example of how great design can cross all mediums - art, fashion, and interiors.
